Nothing beats the warmth and comfort of a fire made with wood. Using wood to heat your home or cook is a time-honored tradition. Many people enjoy creating a fire with their own hands and if they can gather the wood themselves as well, it makes for a very cost efficient way to heat a home. Wood is a natural and renewable fuel source. Burning wood does not contribute to global warming. Wood heating is a responsible way to warm your home and make a difference in the environment. Wood stoves and fireplaces sold at Harmony Hearth & Home have burn systems which are efficient and provide cleaner burning.
Harmony Hearth & Home has a selection of wood stoves, fireplaces, and fireplace inserts which are certain to fit your needs. We also can install your wood-burner for you. A free in-home estimate will be completed prior to your purchase if you would like us to complete your installation. The safety of your family is of utmost importance to us. If we install a wood stove or fireplace for you, we will use venting/stove pipe from ICC. This venting is made in Canada and passes Canada’s much stricter testing process.

- Leave damper open fully until fire gets going, then close damper to prevent heat loss through chimney and give a longer burn time.
- Firestarters will burn for approximately 5 minutes and make it much easier to get the fire going.
- Using gloves to add wood to the fire not only prevents the possibility of burns, but keeps your hands clean.
